The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart. During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home. 1. iRobot Roomba S9+ The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience. The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough mappings of your home to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance. This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient. The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models. iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price cost. Its smart navigation system uses sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention. 2. Roborock Q Revo When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad. The only drawback is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level. For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, produce little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without distraction. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and move on if it comes across one. The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong like the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full. You can also design and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo treats your abode. This is a great feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be removed frequently, like toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, taking debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to. 3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects. The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7. This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty. The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route. The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does a thorough job. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective. 4.
